Making sure mental health treatment is there for children and young people, when they need it, as soon as they need it, so that they can get on with living their lives to their fullest potential.

"I am so grateful to Y:AMHS for helping my son just at the time he needed the help. As a family, we were struggling to find real, practical help quickly and there seemed to be no light at the end of the tunnel, just months and months of waiting. It is painful to watch your child suffer and feel completely helpless. I went to the parents' support group and found a lovely group of people who listened and shared their stories without judgement. After applying, we were given the help that my son needed and he is now taking steps to improve his mental health little by little with guidance. Just being listened to and being heard has been a godsend to all of us. Thank you." (Parent)

Support Applications

Our next round of support applications will open in the summer. You can find out more about how to apply by clicking on the link below.

Parent Support Group

Our support group for parents and carers runs every Saturday morning from 9.30-11.30. Anyone supporting children and young people with mental ill health can drop in during this time for a warm welcome, a nice cuppa and a listening ear.

Chill Zone

Group for young people aged 13+ with anxiety and other mental health issues
Our Chill Zone group for young people will be launching on 12th June and will be a space where young people with anxiety and other mental health issues can meet others in a similar situation in a non-demanding and supported way. A range of calming activities will be available each week and the group will be run by experienced, DBS checked volunteers.
